Communitter is an app that brings service providers and consumers together on a single platform. Consumers looking for service providers such as carpenter, electrician, cleaning and maid service, plumber, painter, architect, an engineer, tile and stone, fences, etc.
Communitter is the marketplace for service providers and consumers. Service providers can register themselves as verified professionals and describe the type of service they offer. Similarly, consumers can also make their profile and look for service providers they need. They can give ratings to each other based on their experience.
By making a profile, users can easily check the progress of their service provider’s work to see when they can expect them to visit them. They can also make online payments and make sure that there is no fraud on the platform.
It is far easier to find an e-commerce app for grocery shopping or to order food, but there was no such app that people could use to hire someone for services. Service providers did not have a platform where they would easily offer their services online. Our client did their research to see this gap in the demand for services. This was not only useful for consumers but also for service providers. This meant that whoever fulfilled this gap first would capture the major chunk of the market.
There were websites where people could sell anything they wanted, even services, but there was not a dedicated platform where they could offer their services easily. The client knew that they could leverage this opportunity and come up with such a platform for service providers.
As soon as the project came to APPSTIRR, our team started working on the idea to take it further in its development. Communitter was the name that was decided after brainstorming a couple of name ideas. The client got stuck with this name and liked it very much. Our team conducted thorough research to determine the optimum app flow and design that would make it easy for users to make their profile and sell their services.
We knew that we had to make a platform where various service providers could sell their services. We enriched the app with several features that would be useful for both the consumers and the service providers, such as categories to find a service provider.
Team APPSTIRR came up with the flow of the app and started working on the designs. Then we moved on to the development phase, and after testing the app and making sure that it would free from all the bugs and issues, we launched it on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
